Subsidized Exams

The Last Frontier Amateur Radio Society offers FREE, subsidized exams to the following applicants:

      --  Applicants under the age of 18
        ++  Minor applicants must get us a signed copy of the wirelessexamgen Parental Consent form to qualify;

      --  Active duty U.S. Armed Forces personnel
        ++  Active duty military need to send us a copy of the front side of their Armed Forces photo ID (CAC card);

      --  U.S. Armed Forces veterans
        ++  Veterans can send us a DD-214 (with driver license included for verification), their VA Health Care ID card (front only), or Uniformed Services ID Card if retired or 100% disabled (front only)

      --  First Responders
        ++  First responders need to send us a copy of their official ID or other certification (with driver license attached for verification);

      --  Sworn law enforcement officers
        ++  Law enforcement need to send us a copy of their official ID or other certification (with driver license attached for verification);

Applicants claiming eligibility will need to immediately notify us via email at testing|[at]|lfars.net with details on how you qualify for a fee exemption based as listed above.  When you contact us, please be sure to provide your First and Last Name, FRN, date you have applied for and which of the above applies to be exempt from the $12 exam fee.  You must also attach the requested items listed above based on how you qualify for a subsidized examination.  Please be patient with us as we are volunteers and our club is based in Alaska.  We may not get back to you right away and your understanding is appreciated in advance!
